ISO Regulation 898-1 / 2013 on mechanical fasteners has undergone major changes in terms of raw material, with the result that hardened C45 or C48 is no longer acceptable and now core-hardened 42CrMo4bon is required. The aforesaid material must also meet resilience standards of + 27J at -20°. We have adapted to the changes, and our product is now 100% compliant, so much so – in fact – that it also complies with EN 1090. Some manufacturers are still selling 8.8 with HARDENED C45 or C48, but it is no longer compliant. We have provided this information with your best interest in mind and so that our customers know that, with us, they can count on a service in keeping with the times. On the back of these changes, we now offer compliant 8.8 M20x3000 rods in both unfinished and galvanised versions at a great price.
